Currently, we are looking for a Sales Consultant Part-Time, U-Pack to join the ArcBest team. Evaluates multiple types of quote for moving services offered by U-Pack. Communicates with the customers to determine which service(s) will apply best to meet the customers' needs. Generates phone-based quotes in responses to customer requests. Responsible for securing profitable shipments by communicating the value of the service(s) to the customer. Develops target prices based upon market conditions, costs, and value.
Your contribution may include:
Evaluates multiple types of quote requests derived from general print advertising and internet marketing for the moving services offered by U-Pack.
Establishes positive relationships with customers while communicating to determine the specifics of their needs.
Responsible for understanding target pricing based upon market conditions, costs, and value.
Generates phone-based quotes to serve the customers’ needs and to gain maximum profitability.
Works to up-sell additional services beneficial to customers.
Responsible for knowing and applying the methods and philosophy of operations within sales based upon departmental and company policies, procedures and work instructions.
Communicates and works with other sales team members to enhance daily sales relationships and team building.
Works with the labor supply base and the entry line points to build relationships while complimenting individual sales.
Is fully versed in The Companies’ values system and communicates this.
Identifies system improvement needs and works to implement them. Works with other personnel, both within and external to the department, to insure designated projects are completed.
Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As a Sales Consultant Part-Time, U-Pack, you will be a member of the ArcBest Moving team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred or High School Diploma / GED, required.
Experience: Two years previous sales experience, preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
